In continuation to the launch of the Chief Ministers' Slum Development Programme- BASERA, the Scaling City Institutions for India (SCI-FI) initiative at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) as knowledge partner supported Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company (PMIDC), the Nodal Agency for BASERA, to prepare this set of FAQs. 

Through the set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) of Chief Ministers' Slum Development Programme- BASERA, this document elucidates the process and procedure that should be undertaken for grant of proprietary rights to the urban poor in Punjab in accordance with BASERA, the Punjab Slum Dwellers (Proprietary Rights) Act, 2020 and the allied Rules.
