The Scaling City Institutions(SCI-FI) aims to better understand the intersection of governance and scale in the Indian urbanising landscape with sector specific social and economic characteristics. Through this research, SCI-FI aims to inform, support and improve evidence based formulation and implementation of national, state and local government service delivery programmes and investments.

Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, it provides a unique platform for academics, researchers, practitioners and policy makers from India and internationally to work collaboratively in the sectors of water supply, sanitation, land, planning and housing with the intention to further improve service delivery.

SCIFI offers both short term and long term internship opportunities from time to time. It provides young researchers a uniquely interdisciplinary environment for learning and participating in ongoing research.
